Early birds join Elvira for the sunrise at the beach, practising Chi Now, a flow of gentle movements. We then engage together in an energizing Pranayama (breathing exercise) and dynamic Hatha yoga class.
Evening classes are cooling down and restoring, outdoors or in the stillness of the yoga shala called Pyramid. Mantra and meditation in the power place highlighted by stone circles.
Host & Yoga Instructor
Miliza is Slovenian born Swiss, and has completed her Integral Yoga Teacher Training on Madeira island, Portugal. She deepened her program Yoga for your Back with Svastha Yoga Therapy, focus on the lower and upper back. She guides her students through gentle but powerful sequences to strengthen their core muscles and widen their range of motion, always with the focus on supporting the back without coming into pain zone.
Landlord & Chi Now
Elvira created the resort Finca Artis Tirma 15 years ago and is still managing it with soul and heart, together with her husband Heinz.
Every sunrise she goes to the beach pratising Chi Now, a flow of movements “Salud y Vida”. From a few basic movements you make the ones which feel good for you right now, taking you to a meditational state in the present moment.
Tour Guide
Bernhard is an official guide, living on Fuerteventura for over 30 years. He takes us to volcanoes and cliffs, with walks adapted to your likes and possibilities, sharing his love of the island, touching your mind and soul. Bernhard speaks German, English and Spanish.
Yoga Instructor
Vicky has been teaching yoga for over 20 years and is familiar with many yoga styles. She was trained in Sivananda yoga, very traditional and spiritual.
In recent years she added teacher training with Dhanya aerial yoga. She has been working with children and adults alike, always striving for a fun and fulfilling practice.
Ayurvedic Massage
Katharina is dedicated to the art of Ayurveda, the holistic system of the ancient India. She offers traditional ayurvedic massages & treatments.
Her studies included a lengthy stay in India – the heart of Ayurveda.
Her massages are beautiful and relaxing. The treatments detoxify and strengthen your body by applying warm herbal oils on the skin.
Chef
Sharon stranded on Fuerteventura during her trip around the world and loves her life on the island. She’s originally from Italy and her passion is (who would be surprised) cooking!
Don’t talk to her while she’s at her stove – she’s on another planet. But be happy: you have the privilege to try the result!
From the first moments on your way from the airport towards your first night, you realise that you’re in a different world, on one of the world’s oldest islands.
We deepen this feeling by slowing down our path and walking mindfully over this million years old landscape, climbing volcanoes to have the birds view, often 360 degrees.
Volcanoes shape the island from North to South, the highest being Pico de la Zarza with 807 meters, in the South-West.
We go on short and long trips, at a point each trip takes us to the beach.
While beaches located in the South and East invite for a swim, you will renounce in the West and North and leave it to the surfers. The waves are permanent, the currents strong, and if you’re not familiar with the tides enjoy the beauty from the shore.
Go for a swim in southern and eastern beaches all year round. You might select them by the colour of the sand, reaching from nearly white to black or the finesse of the sand or gravels.
You are welcomed by a team of vocational hosts, pampered with tasty food, an Ayurvedic massage for relaxation at its deepest, and a blue sky.
We then will motivate you to take action with Yoga, Chi Now, walks on the beach and on peaks, always within your zone of well-being. And always striving for good mood, enjoying the present moment and the privilege of being together and staying on Fuerteventura.
Artis Tirma was designed by the artist Elvira Isasi: a typical Canarian construction around a large central courtyard where every house is a self-contained cottage with its own entrance and private terraces. Elvira and her busband Heinz run the estate lovingly and with flair for details.
Artis Tirma is ecological and works 100% on renewable energies (wind and solar). Also, most of the waste and water are recycled.
Italian chef Sharon is preparing a rich and healthy breakfast buffet. She will also concoct Mediterranean menus with a side dish and dessert. We take a lunch box for a light meal on a volcano or at the beach, and sometimes also explore and try local specialities in a restaurant on a remote beach.
“Pyramid” is the name of the yoga shala built into the mountain. The ground is a circle, the roof in shape of a pyramid.
That’s the confined space for yoga practice and also massages.

Chiang Mai, Thailand
Let go and feel reconnected to oneself
The retreat in Chiang Mai was an unforgettable week, physically and emotionally intense. Real moments of exchange and sharing around yoga and meditation. This retreat not only rejuvenated me but I felt regenerated as the days went by.
I think the place was particularly well-chosen, Miliza, and the synergy of the group really allowed me to be as relaxed as ever! I also think practicing disciplines like yoga and meditation in connection with nature helps tremendously to let go and feel reconnected to oneself. A gentle well-being!
A pure moment of relaxation
Thank you, Miliza, for all your organization, I spent a very good time, met nice people, learned so many things during these few days, was eating healthy food, visiting nice places. The massage was so marvellous, I recommend to everyone to try it, the herbal hot compress is good for relaxation! The meditation in the middle of nature and with the presence of a monk was one of the highlights, a pure moment of relaxation.
It was a nice retreat, it was so fun, wonderful time spent with this group. Hope to see you again for another retreat.
Intense week with well distributed activities
We had a warm welcome and spent an intense week with well distributed activities. Yoga classes were possible even for beginners particularly as we were in a small group. We had very carefully prepared meals, met wonderful people of different nationalities and this allowed us to build up a nice energy. The outdoor meditation was a great time for a reconnection to our dear mother earth.
The teachers gave us high quality methods and practices.
lot of fun, which I will live on for a long time
“The 6 days were wonderfully organized by Miliza. Excellent morning yoga with a Thai professional, rich, varied and healthy breakfast, joint relaxation sessions, exciting conversations with people who love what they do and realize it with passion. At the top of the list for me is the regular meditation with “our” monk KK, but also how quickly and with what naturalness and openness the small international group of very different people came together. We spent a great week together with a lot of fun, which I will live on for a long time to come… thank you!”
